The Canadian Network For Asthma Care (CNAC) is a non-profit association and registered charity. Its members are organizations and other associations with an interest in respiratory health.

CNAC does not offer medical advice nor does it refer members of the public to medical practitioners. CNAC member organizations are listed and members of the public are advised to call the appropriate organization for information re: services and educational materials available.

CNAC convenes a national conference on respiratory education every two years, on the odd numbered years.

Certification for Asthma and Respiratory Educators (CAEs and CREs)

In 1999, CNAC extablished a national certification program for Canadian asthma educators – creating the Certified Asthma Educator (CAE). In 2007, the Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) was developed for educators of both asthma and COPD.

Mission and Vision Statement

The Canadian Network For Asthma Care, through its member organizations, is dedicated to the promotion of respiratory care and education in Canada. Its vision is to reduce illness and death.
